2018 Health Innovation Awards
 
Nominations are now open for the 2018 Health Innovation Awards at www.gov.mb.ca/health/awards/.  Nominate an individual or initiative that has made improvements to Manitoba's health care system in one of four categories:

Mino Bimaadiziwin Innovation Award for Healthy Living
Mino Bimaadiziwin is an Ojibway philosophy, capturing the concept of balancing the four elements of health: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This award recognizes an individual or group that has enhanced healthy living activities among Manitobans.  

Enid Thompson Award for Health Care Innovation  
Named in honor of a lifelong civil servant who introduced innovations with lasting positive impacts for Manitobans, this award recognizes an individual who initiated an outstanding change that has had a positive effect on patient care in Manitoba's health-care system.      

Health Innovation Award for Patient-centred Care
This award recognizes initiatives or a person that improved access to care, quality of care and overall patient experience, ensuring Manitobans get the right care, at the right time, in the right place.

Health Innovation Award for Health System Improvement
This award recognizes creative and pioneering efforts that have resulted in process improvements to improve health care services behind the scenes.
