Workshop "How Attachment Shapes Our Lives"

Presented by The Pas & Area FASD Committee with world-renowned speaker, Kim Barthel, on October 5, 2017, from 8:30-4:30 at the Legion.

The Pas & Area FASD Committee is sponsoring a workshop on October 5, 2017, with Kim Barthel, world-renowned OT, author, and speaker.  The workshop is on "How Attachment Shapes our Lives" and deals with how trauma from dysfunctional care giver-child interactions affects our behaviour and cognitive functioning in later years. It will also deal with how attachment can be affected when we have children with special needs, such as FASD, Autism, etc. We will gain insight and practical tools on how to facilitate positive change through attunement and compassion.

Kim is well known for co-authoring the book "Conversations with a Rattlesnake" with hockey legend, Theo Fleury.
The workshop takes place at the Legion from 8:30-4:30. Registration is only $25 and lunch and snacks are provided.
